Situated on the coast of the Inhambane Province in Southern Mozambique, Massinga Beach is perched on a dune providing you with uninterrupted views of the endless stretch of pristine beach and azure Indian Ocean.

GETTING THERE

FLIGHTS
There are daily flights between Maputo and Inhambane on LAM Mozambique Airlines or directly from OR Tambo International Airport as well as Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Vilanculo International Airport on SA Airlink.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS – INHAMBANE AIRPORT
You will be met by a Massinga Beach representative at the Inhambane Airport and guided on a short taxi ride to the port. A private local motorized ferry will take you across to the town of Maxixe. An alternative route around the bay is by road transfer. From Maxixe a road transfer takes you through various villages and across the Tropic of Capricorn to the Massinga Beach turnoff. A scenic 10km sand road journey through coconut groves brings you to the splendour of Massinga Beach

AIRPORT TRANSFERS – VILANCULO AIRPORT
You will be met by a Massinga Beach representative at Vilanculo Airport. The EN1 National Road passes through quaint villages and incredible boabab trees to the Massinga Beach turnoff, and a scenic 10km sand road journey through coconut groves brings you to the splendour of Massinga Beach

SELF-DRIVE

Massinga Beach is situated 600kms north of Maputo. Due to speed limits, the duration from Maputo is approximately 8 hours.
The last 10kms from the EN1 turn-off to Massinga Beach requires a 4×4 vehicle. Arrangements may be made for secure parking of 2×4 vehicles at a nominal daily rate and a transfer to the Lodge.
